Projects
Some of the projects I belong(ed) to:
- A4: a slide/presentation viewer, born in June 2010 (quite new), that aims to make people more happy in viewing and (in a future) editing their presentations, without the pain of impagination, styles, and animation.
- Glib : Gruppo Linux Ingegneria Bologna, a group of students willing to practise with the OpenSource world and that decide to try, installing a server and organizing some speechs about OpenSource tecnologies and development in this environment.
- View-OS : a project of a kind of “partial virtual machine”, for Linux operating systems.
- Utrace : set of patches for the Linux kernel that wants to replace and expand the old ptrace interface. Time ago I tried to do some simple modules to demonstrate the use of that patch, and partecipated in making utrace works correctly with UML. Utrace is used also in the kmview part of ViewOs. You can read also my notes
- Ubuntu: since the last July I’m part of Ubuntu MOTU Team, and within the few time I have left I like work in some QA scripts, in bug fixing of packages from the universe repository.
- Debian: From the October of 2008 I maintain two packages in Debian. Currently I’m working on the ITP of unladen-swallow. Basically I’ll do all the work of packaging in Debian, as I think it’s worth having packages in both distributions.
Talks:
I did some talks, for the opensource cause. So, these are not for sake of fame, but often only for divulgation of Linux and the OpenSource philosophy.
- My thesys speech: Umview: module nesting in a partial virtual environment.
